Pulteney Bridge is an iconic British bridge located in the Roman Spa City of Bath and spans the River Avon. Completed in 1774, it connected the city with the land of the Pulteney family. Pultney Bridge was designed by Robert Adams. It is one of only four bridges in the world to have shops across its full span on both sides (the others being in Florence, Venice and Erfut, Germany.
